Our client, located in Hamilton is looking for a millwright to join their team. Take a look down below for more details!

Located close to the highway and on a bus route

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot and repair of food processing equipment

Optimize equipment safety, food safety, and reliability including the support of preventative maintenance initiatives

Participate in continuous improvement projects including the installation and commissioning of machinery

Welding, and fabricating where qualified and maintain high sanitation standards, housekeeping and cleanliness of the maintenance shop – preferable

Parts ordering and inventory control

Compliance to regulations and procedures to maintain the highest levels of health and safety, food safety, GMPs and HACCP

Ability to update and track work online in a CMMS platform.

Qualifications

433A Millwright license OR 5+ years working in a similar environment

Previous experience within the food and beverage or consumer packaged goods industry an asset

Strong communication skills including the ability to work independently with minimum supervision, or within a team environment

Able to support occasional “off” shifts to support a continuous operation
