About the Role :

Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a skilled SevOne Support Technician to join their IT operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining SevOne network performance management tools to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying issues, supporting end users, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and support SevOne network performance management solutions.
  • Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot SevOne-related issues.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize SevOne appliances and associated systems.
  • Provide first and second-level support for SevOne alerts and incidents.
  • Collaborate with network engineers and IT teams to ensure seamless SevOne integration.
  • Create and maintain documentation for SevOne configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Assist in upgrading and patching SevOne software as required.
  • Analyze network performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Train end users and IT staff on SevOne functionality and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, network monitoring, or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with SevOne network monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP / IP, SNMP, NetFlow, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Linux / Unix environments.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • SevOne certification or training.
  • Experience with other network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
