Job description

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Responsible to coordinate production orders against demand and forecast and purchase

material, as required

  • Coordinate and monitor logistics of movement of materials within the facility and ensure

    • that materials and shipped and received on schedule

  • Place orders based on the demand identification / requisition from the supervisor
  • Make suggestions for improving the accuracy and timeliness of information needed to

    • place purchase materials and schedule production activities

  • Communicate with the production floor and shipping
  • Develop supplier base to ensure the company is getting the best value
  • Track, monitor, and orders consumables
  • Maintain and administer inventory control through maintenance program
  • Track and control costs
  • Compile detailed work sheets and specifications
  • Estimate type and quantity of materials and labour required for production
  • Prepare and maintain various reports
  • Other duties, as assigned
  • Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following : Health and

    • Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee

    Handbook

    Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have a technical background in maintenance manufacturing environment
  • Should possess strong calculative and analytical skill sets
  • Ability and effectiveness to manage time to meet required deadlines
  • College level diploma or equivalent education and work experience
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, & Visual
  • Use all resources effectively
  • High level of data accuracy
  • Must be detail orientated
  • Strong negotiating skills are required
  • Familiar with FCA and Volkswagen requirements and systems
