About this role

We are recruiting for a Project Assistant to join our Burnaby Major Projects Team. This role will provide administrative support and work from our site office in Surrey, BC.

Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare project site and office binders / files and QA / QC files as required
  • Organize and track shop drawings, keep on top of suppliers for delivery of shop drawings
  • Price, extend, confirm hours submitted and data entry as required for extra work orders
  • Make sure the site has all the latest specs, drawings, shop drawings, change orders, schedules.
  • Track shipments for orders, track backorders, and keep on top of suppliers for delivery of materials
  • Prepare O&M manuals and panel schedules

Your experience and skills

  • High School diploma
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative support role
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Highly organized and high attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Self-motivated
  • Work experience in the construction and / or electrical industry, an asset
  • Ability to read drawings, an asset

Salary range : $50,000 - $60,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered.
