Your Opportunity
Our Grande Prairie office is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Financial Reporting & Insights team and own the following responsibilities :
- Efficiently prepare comprehensive year-end engagements and tax returns for a diverse clientele across various industries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Prepare personal income tax returns, applying thorough knowledge of tax laws and personal finance strategies to benefit our clients.
- Manage and execute compilation engagements, including Notice to Reader financial statements, with a focus on precision and reliability to deliver clear, understandable financial insights.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients, demonstrating a proactive approach in responding to their requests and suggestions, thereby enhancing client trust and satisfaction.
- Maintain effective and ongoing communication with team members, sharing progress updates and promptly addressing any issues to facilitate a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Your experience and education
- You bring a minimum of three years of professional experience within the public accounting sector, demonstrating a solid foundation in accounting principles and a track record of delivering high-quality work.
- You possess a deep commitment to teamwork, client service, and maintaining the highest standards of quality in detailed financial analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, coupled with a strong analytical mindset, enabling you to navigate complex financial scenarios and deliver strategic solutions.
- Your communication skills are top-notch, enabling you to articulate complex financial information clearly and effectively to both clients and team members.
- You have a comprehensive understanding of accounting policies and standards, with the ability to apply this knowledge adeptly in a practical, business context.
