TRS is currently working with an international mining owner that supports sustainability and promotes eco-friendly environment who needs unique individuals to bring their talents and contribute to their growing team.

PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST (Contract Full-time) - This is an 18-month contract Vancouver based opportunity. Administers full contracting lifecycles safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company objectives.

Develops and recommends contract strategies to improve safety, maintain operation continuity, reduce costs, and ensure compliance, including managing RFP processes, evaluating proposals, and handling contract execution and closure.

Employment Status : Independent Contractor

Work Location : Vancouver office

Work Schedule : Monday to Friday work in Vancouver office

Qualifications :

  • Diploma in Supply Chain, Business Management or Material Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in pre-award and post-award projects managing the procurement process from sourcing suppliers to contract negotiation and implementation.
  • Must have experience in EPC, mining, oil & gas, maritime, construction, or owner side.
  • Must have experience in procurement, contracts, and commercial terms.
  • Software experiences : SAP, Ariba, MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Good understanding and experience in multiple phases of project execution.
  • Contract Terms and Conditions negotiation experience an asset but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
