General Accountability
Responsible for developing customer-facing graphics for print and digital communications including; maps, notices and various collateral for events impacting service for transit customers.
Key Job Functions
- Work with operational and communications teams to develop signage, maps and notices for transit routing changes and liaise with production and installation teams to deploy print and digital elements for social media and digital signage.
- Work with content creators to convert complex ideas into clear, concise and efficient communications that support project goals and strategies.
- Adhere to TTC brand standards and ensure accuracy and consistency with respect to brand compliance.
- Develop motion graphics utilizing Adobe AfterEffects.
- Manage priorities to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining close attention to detail.
- Build strong relationships with team members and other departments to foster a collaborative working environment.
- Create accessible documents that can be posted online and comply with W3C and AODA.
- Demonstrate behaviours that support diversity, inclusion and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.
Help to remove barriers and accommodate employees and customers (within their area of responsibility) in accordance with TTC's commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC's policies.
Participate in the TTC customer service Ambassador Program.

Education and Experience
- Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline (arts / graphics program) or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
- Several years of professional design experience in a studio setting.
Additional Requirements
- In addition to a cover letter and resume, include an attached portfolio of strong creative work that demonstrates the skills and requirements outlined in the key job functions.
- Strong work ethic, proactive approach, and ability to work with minimal supervision under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for dealing with various staff and external representatives.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of : typography, information design, symbols and pictograms, colour theory, accessibility design.
- Proficient experience implementing brand standards, typesetting, design layout, accessible document compliance, proof-reading, developing production-ready graphics, and prepress proofing,
- Expert knowledge of design software including of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, After Effects)
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), CorelDRAW
- Experience in a PC Windows environment
- Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.
Salary Information : $63,299.60 - $79,060.80
