Reporting to the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Manager will be responsible for the successful completion of process improvement projects or any other type of project that falls within the PMO's mandate, in accordance with the project owner's vision and the PMO's methodology.
As such, the Project Manager will be responsible for providing guidance and support to the functional teams. He / she will ensure that project deliverables are completed on time, that organizational objectives are met while using best practices in project management.
The Project Manager will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and act as the primary contact for the overall project.
What you will accomplish with us :
- Act as a reference for the implementation of best practices in project management and PMO tools, encourage their use, ensure their improvement, and promote them within the company;
- Participate in the development and execution of the project's purpose (charter) with the owner;
- Develop the project management plan (detailed planning of all project activities and resources), and validate with the owner;
- Execute the project management plan, and ensure alignment with internal and external stakeholder interests at all stages of the project life cycle;
- Coordinate, manage and ensure alignment and engagement of the project team and stakeholders;
- Utilize best practices in each of the PMBOK "knowledge areas";
- Facilitate project team meetings, cross-functional team communication and decision making;
- Provide training to stakeholders on the project implementation process and all related tools;
- Track, monitor project progress, communicate, analyze and document relevant information;
- Ensure project closure and lessons learned;
- Support internal clients in the use of the Project Management methodology and PMO tools;
- Manage priorities across multiple assigned projects;
What You Bring to Our Team :
- Formal training in project management;
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience;
- Experience in real estate project management, mergers and acquisitions, process improvement (an asset);
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written; in French and English)
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project);
- Green belt / Black belt certification, an asset;
- PMI certification and knowledge of PMBOK, an asset
- In-depth knowledge of Lean methods and problem solving tools;
- Good command of project management practices, tools and methodology.
