As the Real Estate Business Strategist, you will be responsible for strategic planning, business planning and budgeting, business development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Supporting Corporate initiatives and policy development and delivery, you will develop and maintain internal and external relationships and manage departmental initiatives and business-wide projects to advance the vision, goals, and outcomes of both Real Estate and Development Services as well as Infrastructure Services. Primary duties include :
- Manage strategic projects using Corporate-approved project management standards and methodologies.
- Facilitate the rollout of business projects, system enhancements, and upgrades with business users through change management, user engagement and training, and communications tactics.
- Coordinate the implementation of Council direction and policy recommendations into operational processes and procedures to improve business unit service performance.
- Facilitate the development of service plans and budgets, as well as service strategies that focus on capital and operational needs.
- Create and monitor business plans and performance measurements; track and manage data and metrics, creating dashboards and conducting detailed analysis.
- Communicate complex data through reports and presentations on trends, risks, impacts, changing client needs, key benchmarks, and business continuity to support management decisions and business planning.
- Analyze business, system, and technical requirements, identifying issues and opportunities for improvement and ensuring business systems support changes to bylaws, policies and processes.
- Research on new technology solutions and performance measurement models, data analysis, data modeling, process and tools;
explore alternative technology and solutions to enhance business efficiencies.
Qualifications
- A degree in Business, Management, Commerce, Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in at least three of the following areas : business analysis, business process improvement, strategy, policy and program development, risk management, performance measurement, information technology, change management, project management, or related experience.
- Experience in real estate, land development, business planning, organizational dynamics, bylaw and policy development, and implementing technology efficiencies will be considered assets.
- Experience in using Microsoft Dynamics CRM software will be considered an asset.
- The successful candidate will possess strong critical thinking, innovation, facilitation, and research skills, along with the ability to find creative approaches to solve complex issues.
