BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST

We are currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst, in Oshawa. Someone who is equally passionate about serving the community and achieving operational success alongside our dedicated and loyal employees.
Responsibilities :
- Analyzing and defining business processes and writing process specifications.
- Project Management Setting Action Plans, Teamwork & Collaboration, Results-Driven, Customer Focus, Management of Project Costs and Timelines
- Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues within databases, and other mission-critical systems.
- Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue.
- Prioritize, schedule, and administer all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.
- Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, and configuring systems and applications.
- Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
- Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.
- Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
- Maintain and enhance performance of all new and existing software and applications across the organization.
- Identify and learn appropriate software applications used and supported by the organization.
- Coordinate with department heads to assess departmental application training needs and objectives.
- Participate in the design, development, and delivery of software applications training programs and individual classes.
- Post software updates, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on company intranet to assist in problem resolution.
- Develop reports from various business systems as required from users and management
Core Competencies and Qualifications :
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in TruckMate or ERP Systems
- Database design / access : understanding of relational database design, data types, Superior skills in SQL.
- Strong aptitude for financial data and analysis
- A solid understanding of GL entries and data balancing processes
- Experience with report development using Crystal Reports
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is an asset
- Experience with a WMS is an asset
- Well-organized, manages multiple activities with conflicting deadlines, and has solid priority and time management skills
- Works interdependently - consulting and collaborating with a variety of internal stakeholders
- Successfully pass a criminal background check
