OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Associate Director is the day-today contact on the business and is responsible for maintaining the client relationship and internal relationships with the agency account group, investment team and SBU’s.

You will guide a team of curious individuals to deliver thoughtful and compelling ideas across all media channels.

In conjunction with the Group Director or Business Director, you will be also responsible for providing input into the administration of your group with respect to leading and conducting interviews / identifying top talent, performance evaluations and career development.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

  • Key contact on client business
  • Accountability for providing strategic insight into client business
  • Training and mentoring of Senior Strategist and Supervisor(s)
  • Oversee training and mentoring of strategist level down.
  • Assume ownership and accountability of your team’s overall contribution and performance; monitor their work, empower them, push for results, marshal resources and be a readily accessible resource and approachable manager
  • Understanding client marketplace dynamics (economic, sales, competitive, consumer)
  • Oversee creative plan development (and / or develop creative plans according to strategy)
  • Ensure quality control o f OMD Design principles have been applied in the media plan development process
  • Ensure utilization of OMD Research Tools in plan development
  • In conjunction with the Buyers / Digital / Social / Search / Programmatic ensure the strategic execution of Plan
  • Preparation and presentation of reports and strategic analyses to clients
  • Coordinate client promotional activity with the media
  • Ensure non-broadcast rates are competitive and added value has been maximized
  • Knowledgeable on all emerging media

DEVELOPMENTAL TRAINING

  • Financial accountability of client business
  • Group / people management
  • Expand knowledge of client business and identify new business opportunities
  • Foster relationships / profile with clients and industry
  • New Business involvement
