Generator and PG Field service technician

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a motivated, energetic Electro-mechanical technician to join our team in Ottawa.

Cummins is on a hunt for a candidate who can be an excellent team player and who is flexible with work times and overtime as this job requires early starts and afterhours work at times.

A 5000$ sign on bonus is eligible for this position !

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

Completes preventative maintenance and / or basic repair activities on Generator or component at the customer site with minimal direction.

Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.

Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced

Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.

Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and / or Supervisor.

Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.

Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following :

Red seal certification Heavy duty mechanics (421A), Automotive (310S) or in Truck trailer (310T) is mandatory for this position.

Electrical knowledge and experience are an asset

Reliability security clearance an asset.

Good customer relation skills.

Locally valid driving permit

Clean drivers abstract

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Basic mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.

High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
