Job Description
Under the direction / supervision of the clinical team, you will perform direct patient services tasks.
Accountabilities :
- Assisting with patient activities of daily living, mobilization and transport
- Ordering supplies
- Daily restocking of supplies in patient care rooms and supply storage areas
- Maintain and distribute departmental monitoring equipment
- Transporting patient specimens to the pneumatic tube
- Contributing to the maintenance of a safe work environment
Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker certificate required from an accredited institution
- Current CPR certificate
- Basic knowledge of aseptic techniques
- Recent related personal support worker experience within a hospital setting
- Recent experience working in a highly technical patient care environment
- Recent related experience with Alternate Level of Care patients including knowledge of the complex needs of the medical / surgical patient
- Recent experience working in a highly technical patient care environment
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and comprehension skills
- Flexibility to meet unit needs
- Ability to work well with team members
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech system
- Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
- Able to handle physical requirements of the job (ability to lift at least 25-30 pounds)

Additional Information
Currently Days / Nights, 8 and 12 hours , including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Salary :
Minimum : $30.76 per hour
Maximum : $31.38 per hour
