We are seeking an experienced and skilled Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in restoring vehicles that have been damaged in accidents, ensuring that they are repaired to their original condition and meet the highest quality standards.
This position requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering excellent results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities :
Damage Assessment : Inspect and assess vehicles for damages, determining the most appropriate repair procedures to restore the vehicle to its original condition.
Body Panel Repair & Replacement : Use a range of tools and equipment to remove, repair, or replace damaged body panels, ensuring that all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Metal Sculpting & Shaping : Sculpt and shape metal using hand and power tools to restore body surfaces to their pre-accident appearance.
Painting & Finishing : Prepare and paint repaired surfaces to match the vehicle’s original color and finish, ensuring a seamless blend with the rest of the vehicle.
Customer Communication : Discuss repair options, timelines, and costs with customers, providing clear and accurate information to ensure client satisfaction.
Work Environment & Safety : Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all industry safety standards.
Record Keeping : Accurately document repairs performed, parts used, and any relevant details to ensure thorough records are maintained for future reference.
Continual Learning : Stay current on the latest repair techniques, tools, and technologies in the auto body repair industry.
Requirements :
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in auto body repair or a related field.
Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of vehicle repair techniques, bodywork, and paint processes.
Tool Proficiency : Proficiency in using hand and power tools for collision repair, including but not limited to welding equipment, grinders, and paint sprayers.
Manuals & Specifications : Ability to read and interpret technical repair manuals and vehicle manufacturer specifications.
Attention to Detail : Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure repairs meet the highest standards.
Communication Skills : Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Teamwork & Independence : Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Valid Driver’s License : Must possess a valid driver's license to move vehicles as needed.
