Description
What you’ll be doing
- Assigned cleaning using specified disinfecting / sanitizing agents to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
- Assists residents, when necessary, with a professional attitude, and patient approach
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces
- Adheres to established company policies and procedures regarding infection prevention and control, quality assurance, fire, and safety etc.
- Notifies Manager on any damages, deficiencies, disturbances, or concerns.
- Participates in staff meetings as assigned, attends in service education programs and completes all mandatory education as assigned.
- Collaborates with other departments in such tasks as transferring residents, moving, ordering and storing supplies, ordering / maintenance / distribution of furniture and equipment etc.
What you bring
- Ability to read and write English as well as understand verbal and written instructions in English.
- Comfortable moving furniture / equipment, handling heavy items, reaching, squatting, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, using cleaning chemicals, and exposure to wet floors.
- Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined which includes ability to maintain regular attendance in addition to work in a very dynamic environment.
- Demonstrates concern and interest in providing quality care and service for residents.
- Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
- Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening to be provided.
