What Will You Do :
- Lead mechanical engineering design activities on major projects in the United States and Canada
- Design, model, and simulate mechanical systems for hyperscale and AI data centres, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, cooling towers, chilled water systems, and boilers.
- Prepare engineering calculations and detailed mechanical drawings.
- Design highly energy-efficient and sustainable systems.
- Create technical documentation for project execution, including design criteria and specifications.
- Ensure project requirements are met in terms of scope, cost, and schedule.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to coordinate BIM models and resolve conflicts.
- Review shop drawings for compliance with engineering codes and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain project scope documentation and revisions.
- Utilize BIM tools for virtual construction of mechanical systems and coordination with other disciplines.
- Manage and coordinate projects, including on-site supervision.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress.
- Utilize laser scanning technology to document installation states.
What We Expect :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experience with data centre projects or other large-scale industrial projects is a plus.
- Proficiency in BIM software (Autodesk Revit), CAD modeling tools, and other relevant engineering software (Computational Fluid Dynamics software).
- Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with mechanical codes and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management abilities, including the coordination and supervision of on-site activities.
- Possession of a valid Professional Engineer (PEng) license will be a plus.
- Good project and client leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently to client sites located in Canada and the United States (Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, Texas, Colorado, and Virginia).
- Ability to work from home.
- Authorization to work in Canada.
