Cold Lake’s Indigenous Internship Program is an opportunity for local Indigenous candidates to gain practical, hands-on work experience at our Cold Lake operation.
Interns will be trained and mentored in a supportive work environment.
An administrative assistant position is available at Imperial’s Cold Lake, Alberta location. This is a term position providing up to one year paid internship with the possibility of a one-year extension.
Upon successful completion of the 2-year program, possibility for offer of full-time employment.
Transportation to and from the work site is provided to those within 80 km from the Cold Lake operations. If you reside further than 80 km away, you are required to make arrangements for a pick-up point within the 80 km.

Your primary responsibility will include providing support to our managers and employees, performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
You will assist in daily office needs and provide professional and efficient support to our assets.
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is a minimum requirement
- Business Administrative Diploma or Office Administration Diploma preferred
- Must have a driver’s license and be comfortable to drive a pick-up truck
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment : printers, computers, fax, copiers
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Data analytical skills an asset

Eligibility to work in Canada
All applicants who receive an offer of employment must be eligible to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions on their start date.
