The Job At-A-Glance :

We are an Azure-focused Cloud Engineering team that provides infrastructure and orchestration support to our product engineering organization.

Our team's mission includes :

Acting as domain experts on Azure Cloud for the Q2 organization

Supporting product development teams with cloud infrastructure and monitoring

Maintaining standards for secure, highly available infrastructure

Scaling our application infrastructure to ensure a positive customer experience

In 30 days you will :

Meet and work with partner teams

Learn our products, systems, and areas of responsibility

Get your hands dirty with our infrastructure

Work your first tickets with your onboarding buddy

In 60 days you will :

Begin to work independently on routine tasks.

Gain experience in our systems by delivering project work

Work with your manager on your Q2 career development plan

Contribute your fresh perspective to team patterns and processes

In 90 days you will :

Lead projects to improve our infrastructure

Collaborate independently with partner teams

Contribute technical expertise to incident response and architectural discussion

Work to improve our monitoring and alerting systems

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For :

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience;

or equivalent related work experience primarily with C#, .NET and Azure

2+ years of professional experience with a public cloud provider (Azure, GCP, AWS)

2+ years of professional experience working with CI / CD pipelines on any platform (GitLab, TeamCity, Jenkins, Azure-Devops)

Proficiency in one or more programming (e.g. C#, Java, Python, Go, Javascript) and scripting (e.g. Bash, Python, Powershell) languages

Empathy for the end user and a desire to measure your work by both the customer value and technical quality

A bias for action tempered with thinking about the implications of the work you're doing

Enthusiasm for the field and professional development / improvement outside the day-to-day job

Strong preference for automating repetitive manual tasks

2+ years experience in a DevOps, Platform, or SRE role

2+ years experience with an Infrastructure as Code technology (Terraform or similar)

2+ years experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration technology

Experience with monitoring, logging, and dashboard technologies

Experience leading cross-team projects and mentoring other engineers

Q2’s compensation reflects the cost of labor across a variety of U.S. geographic markets, and we pay based upon the applicant’s geographic location as well as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

This position is an exempt position and the range for this position for New York City, Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area-based roles is $141,600.

00-$177,000.00For New York state (outside New York City), Washington state (outside Seattle), California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area), and Colorado-based roles, the anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000.00-$150,000.00

Salary ranges for Sales positions are expressed as total target compensation (TTC base + commission). A variable bonus and / or restricted stock unit grant may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to a range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
