About The Role - GroundProbe Technical Specialist (Eastern Canada)
We are open to this person sitting anywhere in Eastern Canada.
The Technical Specialist acts as a company representative at various client sites within the North America region to provide training and technical expertise, maintenance and repairs, and support of GroundProbe's products.
Work safely, and with regard to the safety of others, including :
o Compliance with all WHS policies and procedures
o Actively work to improve safety in the workplace.
- Install and integrate Slope Stability Radar / Laser systems as required for customers throughout North America (US, Mexico, and Canada)
- Commission and decommission Slope Stability Radar / Laser systems
- Monitor and present Slope Stability Radar / Laser data
- Provide on-site training and technical support to customers
- Maintain Slope Stability Radar / Laser systems minimizing downtime and meeting customer needs
- Perform technical support work on GroundProbe technologies at remote sites and from GroundProbe's office
- Assist with marketing and development of a positive image of GroundProbe, it's technologies and its employees
Travel : This position will require you to travel up to 50%-75% of the time between the US, Canada and Mexico and you will be exposed to challenging working environments.
There are times when there will be little notice provided before travel is required due to the safety critical need of our customers.
Every effort will be made to minimize last minute travel plans, but there are times where it will be unavoidable. You can expect to be away from home for periods of at least 7-10 days at a time.
What you will bring
- Qualification or relevant experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Electronic discipline(s)
- Unencumbered Manual Drivers License
- Ability to obtain national police clearance certificate for work at mine sites
- Basic understanding of computers
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with an engine or generator
- Ability to travel between countries / states via air
- Extensive relevant technical work experience in a customer service based organization or similar
- Proven potential or track record of success
- Bilingual (English / French) is required, due to this role interacting with customers throughout North America, to include Quebec, Canada.
