We are currently recruiting for Casual Educational Assistants to join our team and work in an engaging and rewarding environment! Sturgeon Public Schools are located in Sturgeon County just a short drive from the cities of Edmonton and St.
Albert. Sturgeon Public Schools are located throughout Sturgeon County north of the cities of Edmonton and St. Albert. We are a rural community and as such our casuals would require a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle to access the various locations.
Initial Assignment : The Educational Assistant will work in various classrooms at schools throughout the Division, on an as needed basis.
Qualifications & Experience : Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate is required. Experience working with students with challenging behaviours and applying positive behaviour supports and formal training in areas such as autism or behaviours is an asset.
CPR and First Aid along with Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training is preferred.Hourly Rate : $17.87 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
