About the Role
Teranet is currently looking for a Senior Angular Java Developer. You will be a key member of our information technology team.
You will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing and supporting web-based software products.
You must possess advanced technical abilities and experience, has adept problem solving and analytical skills, is creative and has an eye for detail.
You will also have superior communication skills with the ability to navigate group dynamics, is approachable, and has a friendly demeanor.
You will also be responsible to provide day-to-day oversight and guidance of the UI Development, and acts as a resource other members of the IT and Teranet Manitoba team as the need arises.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, develop and test reliable and reusable code.
- Provide client support to troubleshoot bugs and performance issues within applications and devise solutions to these problems that span multiple systems.
- Analysis of requirements, user interface sketches, estimating and solution proposals.
- Providing database support and data fix analysis and remediation.
- Writing, updating and maintaining documentation.
- Participate in estimation of work effort needed to create release plans and roadmaps.
- Develop and test software in a variety of programming languages and environments.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
- Participate in the implementation and deployment of solutions.
- Participate in the debugging and resolution of production issues.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance as needed in the development of new and existing projects.
- Actively participate in coaching and mentoring of software developers.
- Adhere and assist in establishment and appropriate continuous ongoing implementation of coding standards, procedures and techniques.
About You
- Diploma or university degree in computer science, or business administration or equivalent work experience is required.
- 5 years of experience as an Angular / UI Developer is required.
- Experience with Angular, Java, J2EE systems, JSP / Servlet, JavaScript, Java RMI, HTML and XML is required.
- Hibernate, Spring Framework 4 for web application development is required.
- Experience with relational databases (including Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) is required.
- Ability to write clean, readable, reusable and easily maintainable code is required.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Experience with DOORS / DOORS NG, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory and Spring MVC would be considered assets.
- Experience with Rational Team Concert would be considered an asset.
- Experience writing framing and sketching tools would be considered an asset.
- Experience working in agile methodology is an asset.
- Experience working independently and in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
