Accounting
- Prepare and record journal entries, maintaining the general ledger for all corporate entities.
- Conduct quarterly reconciliations and analyses of all accruals and balances.
- Research, recommend, and implement updates in accordance with relevant Canadian GAAP.
Cash Management
- Support the preparation and oversight of timely and accurate invoice payments and collections.
- Perform cash flow analyses, forecasting, and budgeting for the Corporate group.
- Manage bank wiring instructions, cash deposits, and bank statement reconciliations.
Financial Reporting
- Generate timely quarterly and annual financial statements, including necessary note disclosures, per Canadian GAAP.
- Assist with the annual audit of Corporate financial statements as needed.
- Help prepare working papers for compliance reporting (e.g., GST / HST, Income Tax, FATCA, CRS, etc.).
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST / HST returns.
- Aid in developing annual budgets and conducting quarterly variance analyses.
- Assist in creating and presenting ad hoc and routine reports for the department and management.
Operations
- Help maintain vendor records and address vendor-related issues.
- Prepare and review invoices and expense allocations for accuracy.
- Oversee and process intercompany reimbursements.
- Identify opportunities and support initiatives to enhance processes, strengthen controls, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve scalability.
- Collaborate with teammates and other Finance Group teams on recurring tasks and projects as needed.

- 4 years Accounting experience.
- An undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting; Professional Designation (CPA) preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and reporting under Canadian GAAP or IFRS.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency with a high level of aptitude for a wide range of computer applications.
- Experience in managing accounting and reporting functions with daily and monthly deliverables.
- Experience in managing and reviewing deliverables for financial reporting.
- Proven track record of initiating and implementing process improvement initiatives
- Working knowledge of accounting systems (e.g. Sage AccPac, Concur) would be an asset.
- Working knowledge of various tax compliance requirements would be an asset.
