Purpose The Manager, Warehouse Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily cross dock and warehouse operations, ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company goals.

As part of a customer-centric transportation team, the Manager, Warehouse Operations plays a key role in ensuring operational efficiency and meeting customer demands in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities Supervise and direct daily cross-docking activities, ensuring the team meets performance targets and adheres to company policies.
Coordinate the workflow of warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, receiving, and shipping operations.
Monitor inventory levels, monitor warehouse inbound and out outbound shipments, and maintain accurate records to support warehouse performance.
Schedule and allocate resources effectively to meet daily operational needs. Monitor staff productivity and resolve operational issues as they arise.
Coach, mentor, and develop Operations Supervisors and employees by providing fair and consistent feedback on performance goals and ensure they are cross trained to maximize their contribution to the company and provide backup support when needed Responsible to conduct progressive discipline for all employees but not including termination, partnering with Human Resources and Directors Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse building, ensuring that the facility is clean, organized, and in good working condition including repairs, cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
Ensure that all warehouse equipment, including MHE, is properly maintained, serviced, and functioning to avoid downtime.
This includes routine inspections, servicing, and coordinating repairs as needed. Manage the daily operation of TMS, ensuring the system is used effectively to track, monitor, and manage shipments, inventory, and order statuses.
Monitor and resolve any tickets or alerts within the TMS related to operational issues, shipment discrepancies, or system errors, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
Aware of current ongoing customer requirements, changes to contracts or new client set up in order to meet customer expectations and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Responsible for creating a work environment that is inclusive of diversity, free of discrimination and free of conflict.
Ensures that the workplace is safe and meets all legislative requirements. Responsible for housekeeping and ensuring only trained employees operate material handling equipment.
Initiates Rewards and Recognition programs for associates to recognize performance. Performs administrative tasks as they relate to the operation;
Participates in different projects as requested. Qualifications Minimum High School diploma; College Diploma / University Degree preferred.
3-5 years experience in a supervisory role. Must have experience in a 3rd party logistics environment. Knowledgeable and skilled using a warehouse management system (WMS), PkMS preferred.
Demonstrated strong leadership with excellent interpersonal skills. Must be a resourceful self starter with exceptional labour planning skills.
Team player skills with demonstrated abilities to interact well with all levels of associates. Proven ability to encourage and motivate others in a positive manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational skills. Able to lift cartons or bins that weigh up to 50 lb;
