The Specialist PDC Procurement collaborates with the Supply Chain Business Teams to complete Purchase Orders in a timely manner to meet business requirements and provide broad or deep senior level technical expertise to support business unit contract administration requirements.

What You Will Do :

Form, negotiate and manage the required purchase orders to support the business requirements.

Lead the sourcing development, bid or proposal solicitation (RFx) and evaluation process.

Identify efficiencies, cost reduction, cost avoidance and continuous improvement opportunities within the sourcing process.

Independently working on complex Procurement issues.

Ensures material / services are accurately acquired to meet stakeholder objectives.

Leading more complex investigations and analyses and providing advice to staff, e.g., works directly on legal review.

Act as an informal lead and SME to buyer team, address critical issues and coordinates emergency situations which arise.

Coordinate & lead training of new buyers in relevant categories.

Assist leadership with quarterly reporting validation and review.

Owns and maintains central PDC documentation to ensure accuracy and reflect the latest updates.

Participate as lead buyer in special projects & meetings as required.

Who You Are : Required :

Required :

University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.

Seven or more of dynamically responsible and related experience in the SCM field. An additional 3-years of related experience is required for candidates who do not possess a University degree.

Proven communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with influencing and persuasive talents.

Experience negotiating commercial agreements.

Ability to monitor and manage supplier relationships and performance with minimal direction.

Preferred :

Enrollment in the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) / Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation program or equivalent is an asset.

Typical office environment.

Minimal travel required, e.g., project sites, domestic and foreign suppliers, warehouses, Enbridge locations, occasionally requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to :

Grasping, kneeling, light moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to :

Ability to : understand, remember and apply oral and / or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate / explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
