OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :
Alstom Product Lines offer a wide range of Services business solutions for Rolling Stocks (train, metro, tramway ), Signalling and Infrastructure products : maintenance, asset life management, digital solutions, train operations, technical support and parts & overhaul services.
The Digital Transformation organization provides a set of business solutions to digitalize the major Services business processes, based on technologies such as SAP, Maximo, Apriso, Salesforce, Geocall, Arbortext, Anaplan, QlikSense, Java based applications, IoT Data Capture and Predictive maintenance solutions.
The main stakes of the IS&T Services Domain are to ensure the overall consistency and efficiency of Services applications landscape and provide Digital solutions to Alstom Service teams and customers : to design, to industrialize, to deploy and to support our solutions.
An open position is available in Canada (St Bruno) to endorse the role of Services Solution Architect for America Region.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Services Solution Architect for America, reporting directly to the IS&T Services Domain Director, is responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with the America Services community, working closely with the business process experts and key users of the Services Business Solutions.
He is a key contributor for the satisfaction of the Services Solutions in the Region.
Covering all aspects of the IS&T Services core solutions and working closely with the Central Solution Architects and the IS&T Business Partners in America (who are in charge to collect the need and the justification), the Services Solution Architect for America is in charge to qualify the Customer requirements for Services Solutions in Services Tenders and the local IS&T demands for new Services Solutions projets (such as application deployments, core solution enhancements, interfaces a.s.o).
He / She will support the application delivery and deployment of the Alstom Services Solution core model within the America countries, helping and guiding as needed, feeding back to the IS&T teams of any issues or roadblocks.
Validating that the core Services business processes are being implemented and used, reviewing any gaps with the Services Product Line & business process owners, ensuring that we implement and use standard business processes across multiple locations doing the same work.
Through proximity with IS&T Business Partners and key business stakeholders, he / she will prepare the America Services Solutions strategy and roadmap, highlighting any concerns or problems, and communicating it to the appropriate area with IS&T and the Services Product Line.
Feedback to the business / Key stakeholders any IS&T constraints or concerns, supporting any negotiation to get the best solution for Alstom.
Supporting the local business organization in any Change Management needs seen within the country, escalating, and supporting as needed to ensure IS&T Services tools and processes are used as well as possible.
Led by the IS&T Business Partners, the Services Solutions Architect will contribute to the identification and challenge of the local shadow IS tools.
The Architect will drive the roadmap to replace, decommission or sustain these solutions and will follow-up with interested parties to ensure the solution move and decommissioning is completed in line with the agreed roadmap.
The Architect will highlight areas where our services business needs special attention or support to ensure that BaU (Business as Usual) is not affected, for example skill shortages, capacity problems, solution performance, broken business processes, core model not used as it should be.
When applicable, the IS&T Services Solutions Architect can also act as a project manager and deliver IS&T projects to deploy Services solutions in the America Region.
Key accountabilities :
The Services Solutions Architect for America is accountable for :
- Assessing the Customer requirements for Services Solutions in Services Tenders
- The qualification of the local IS&T project needs
- Support the Services America business to implement, maintain and enhance the Alstom Services Core Model
- The relationship management with Regional business process experts and Key Users for Services business solutions within the Region
- Alstom Services core model usage & validation with the services business
- Preparing the services solutions business roadmap and strategy
- Supporting Change Management led by Business experts, when delivering new solutions
- Highlighting and eliminating (where possible) Shadow IT
- Managing IS&T projects when needed
Reporting to the IS&T Services Domain Director, you will :
- Along with the IS&T Business Partners, understand Countries' strategy, collect Countries' demands and build Countries' roadmaps with the support of the Design Authority
- Coordinate with central IS&T teams (Projects, Operations performance, ) to communicate service & solutions performance and progress
- Promote global services and solutions in coordination with the Projects team
- Contribute to change management activities to businesses in the countries
- Ensure overall satisfaction of Services Solutions in the countries
You will work very closely with the IS&T Services Business Partner organization in America, and will interact with Solutions Architects, Projects teams, America Regional Business Process Experts and Key Users and Business Process Owners.
Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES & REQUIRED COMPETENCES :
Graduated with an engineering degree, preferably in information technology. Alternatively, a proven track record of personal development to an equivalent skill level.
You have more than 10 years of experience in Information System and Technology and / or Services method & tools. You have a significant experience as Services Business Process Specialist, considered expert level competency.
You have good communication skill (written & verbal), leadership and change management skills. You are result oriented, able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization and show intellectual curiosity and creativity.
You have a strong sense of customer service and satisfaction. You demonstrate the ability to use your knowledge in collaboration with other departments, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience, to organize workshops and to collect, challenge and formalize requirements.
Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in an international environment and to face the challenges of the new Alstom.
