JobDescription

As the Inventory Control Supervisoryou will lead a team of three coordinators while overseeing thecompanys ingredient packaging and finished goods inventory acrossmanufacturing and warehouse facilities and a thirdparty offsitewarehousing facility.

The role involves trainingwarehouse team members (drivers inventory clerks andadministrators) maintaining balanced inventory records conductinginventory counts analyzing inventory data and implementing bestpractices to reduce waste prevent inaccurate reporting and minimizeshrinkage or theft.

EssentialFunctions

Inventory Management :

  • Provide handson support to ensure inventoryaccuracy liaising with crossfunctional teams for followup and nextsteps.
  • Collaborate with Operations Supply Chainand Warehousing to optimize procedures for efficiency costreduction and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinatecycle and yearend inventory counts at multiple warehouses andreconcile intransit inventory.
  • Develop actionplans to manage inventory levels and optimize stockrequirements.
  • Ensure accurate Min / Max levelsand correct costing for all inventoryitems.
  • Address inventory issues as they ariseand implement rootcause fixes.
  • Ensurecompliance with inventory management policies andprocedures.

Inventory / CostAccounting :

  • Run and reconcileinventory valuation reports across allwarehouses.
  • Examine supply levels and rawmaterials to determine shortages through system and physicalcounts.
  • Investigate inventory variancesidentify root causes and implement processimprovements.
  • Coordinate inbound and outboundloads between the main warehouse and thirdparty logistics (3PL)warehouse.
  • Post inventory adjustments in theSAP system.
  • Assist with system implementationsand integrations.

Forecasting andInventory Analysis :

  • Analyze currentinventory levels for demandforecasting.
  • Coordinate inventory levels forongoing or new projects with strategicdepartments.
  • Lead aging inventory analysis andfollowups with crossfunctionalteams.
  • Collaborate with Finance to alignreporting and analysis with forecasts.

Activities

  • Leadcrossfunctional aged inventory meetings to ensure adherence to KPIsand policies.
  • Conduct regular counts ofproducts materials and packaging.
  • Maintaindetailed records of all inventories.
  • Reorganizeand reposition inventory to meet FIFO / FEFOstandards.
  • Manage shortshelflife ingredients tomaximize usage.
  • Oversee freezer shipments toavoid product expiration.
  • Establish policiesand practices to prevent writeoffs and improve inventorymanagement.
  • Support crossfunctional teamsduring customer trials ensuring appropriate inventory managementfor trial ingredients.
  • Address and resolveinventory discrepancies.
  • Implement improvedsecurity and storage procedures to minimize loss andtheft.
  • Propose strategies to reduce costs andimprove supply chain logistics.
  • Evaluatedeliveries shipments and product levels to enhance inventorycontrol.
  • Audit inventory control processes andtrack performance.
  • Support supplier evaluationthrough data analysis and trend monitoring to improve relationshipscosts and service levels.
  • Prepare and presentreports communicate findings and provide data analysis tomanagement.
  • Support retail store inventoryrequirements.

JobSpecifications

  • Postsecondaryeducation in Supply Chain Management Inventory Management orequivalent.
  • 35 years of relevant experienceincluding prior supervisory experience.
  • Aproactive leader willing to bring forward new ideas and fosterinnovation within the team.
  • Strongcommunication skills with the ability to engage teams andcrossfunctional leaders.
  • Excellent timemanagement and organizationalskills.
  • Detailoriented selfmotivated andcapable of working with minimalsupervision.

  • Proficient inMicrosoft Office.
  • Experience with SAP is highlypreferred; experience with BatchMaster is anasset.
