Job Summary
The Supply Chain Warehouse Associate is accountable to Logistics Supervisor for activities relating to the warehouse organization, receiving, storage, material flow to internal customers and shipping in accordance with the requirements outlined in Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
Responsibilities
- Receives products in accordance with SOP guidelines and enter into ERP system.
- Performs the following activities and update the ERP system with Real Time Transaction :
Stores materials in designated location. Supports a two-way flow of material between the warehouse and the internal customers.
Ships products to customers, vendors, external contractors. Generates and process paperwork to ensure accuracy of the above tasks and to meet customer requirements.
- Responds to changing demands of the position, reset priorities and troubleshoot issues and where unable to resolve involve Logistics Supervisor or other resources.
- Escalates to Logistics Supervisor any concerns with receipts or shipments or other issues.
- Inspects warehouse for Quality Assurance GMP requirements, including temperature monitoring.
- Performs safety inspection of all material moving equipment, racking and warehouse housekeeping.
- Operates Transpallet machine, Reach Trucks, Counterbalance, Walkies, Scanners and Dock Heating Systems according to SOP’s and conduct daily inspections.
- Acts as Team Leader to other warehouse employees by coordinating activities and providing direction and guidance.
- Ensures warehouse locked areas are secured and maintained.
- Performs cycle counts as per inventory program.
- Completes logbooks to ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Maintains organization of warehouse to a high standard of order and cleanliness.
- Follows GMP and regulatory requirements, and ensures quality standards are met.
- Observes and supports all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Models the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business practices.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Forklift license is mandatory.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industry experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with focus on accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines
- Adaptable with ability to change priorities and work under pressure.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound judgments.
