Senior Database Administrator

Overview :
The Shared Utility Service / Middleware team is looking for a database administrator to :
- Create physical database designs, operate and administer the database management system (DBMS) including database optimization, performance tuning, backup, and recovery
- Manage database requirements for new client application onboarding the Shared Utility Service hosting.
- The consultant will be responsible for creating physical database designs and operating and administering the database management system (DBMS) including database optimization, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
- Our client is responsible for IT project management, delivery, and implementation of technologies in support of Service Ontario, partner ministry projects, and other cluster clients.
The Shared Utility Service (SUS) environment provides a scaleable and secure IT infrastructure to meet the JEE hosting needs of I&IT clusters, and by extension, the application, and the web owners in ministry program areas who are their customers.
It is an ongoing service and environment that presently hosts multiple internal and public-facing government applications.
There are presently + hosted applications in SUS with over being critical business applications.
Must Haves :
- More than years of Oracle DBA experience
- Approved experience with Oracle c & c using a multi-tenant architecture
- Oracle c RAC Grid infrastructure / ASM
- RMAN backup and Restore
- Data Encryption using ASO / TDE
- Oracle Dataguard Physical / Logical Configuration & Administration
- Oracle Enterprise Manager configuration & Management for alerting & reporting
- UNIX shell scripting
- SQL optimization, tuning, and performance experience
- MS SQL Server installation, Configuration, and database management

- Experience with designing, building, Installing, configuring, and administering OEM c Alerting and Reporting - %
- Experience installing, configuring, and administering OEM c Alerting and Reporting Oracle Unified Auditing - %
- Experience installing, configuring, and administering Oracle c Unified Auditing DB performance Tuning (-+ years experience performing ongoing monitoring and tuning of database ) - %
