Our client is a leading custom metal fabrication and assembly shop. They have a job opening for Metal Fabrication Production Supervisor for a permanent full-time job in Kitchener Woodstock- St. Marys, ON area
Metal Fabrication Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading the front-line production with close to 25 team members / associates reporting to him / her (welders, bench presses, fabricators, assemblers) in a nonunion environment.
You will coach, train, mentor and be responsible for labor scheduling and performance management. You will assist in any process improvement changes, lean implementation 5S, Kaizen or any other special projects to improve efficiencies.
This is a straight afternoon, 10 hour shift.
Metal Fabrication Production Supervisor MUST have metal fabrication, metal assembly supervisory experience of minimum 4-5 years.
Ability to train , coach , mentor and lead a team of 15-45 workers, ability to read drawings and engineering changes, strong knowledge and experience in CNC, bench pressing, metal stamping , fabrication , cutting, bending assembly is a MUST ;
degree or diploma preferred; Lean , 5S, Kaizen experience is highly preferred , excellent English Communication skills This is a constantly changing fast-paced environment and will require ability to adapt to short deadlines
