Senior Manager, IT Solution Delivery

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Integrated Solutions in the Business Service Group (BSG) IT, the Senior Manager, BSG IT Service Delivery will be responsible for IT project delivery.

Brookfield Renewable is seeking an experienced business and technology professional that has significant leadership experience with deployment of IT solutions following project management best practices.

As a member of BSG IT leadership team, the Senior Manager, BSG IT Service Delivery is critical to the definition, development and continuous improvement of BEP’s project methodology to produce repeatable successful project results.

The ideal candidate has strong business acumen combined with fluent literacy in various technology domains. More specifically, they will :

Key Responsibilities include :

• Plan and direct the management and implementation of multiple projects related to acquisitions and deployment of new services.
• Following best practices, for project management; define, develop and continuously evolve BEP’s project management methodology, standards and tools.
• Manage senior stakeholder relationships within the business, IT and external parties to ensure that expectations and priorities are clear, and that all required support is in place for successful project outcomes.
• Ensures all IT projects are well-defined, tracked, controlled and communicated in a consistent and effective manner.
• Identifies dependencies between programs and projects that will affect priority sequencing and resource allocation decisions.
• Coordinate resources required to deliver services and deliverables.
• Lead, coach and support project managers to ensure all projects are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements.
• Manage and execute on the compliance needs of BSG IT in relationship to SOX.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time and work under tight deadlines.
• Experience in vendor management.

Knowledge and Experience Required

• University Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field
• Experience in managing large, complex project / program portfolio and implementing project management methodologies and tools
• Deep understanding of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), Waterfall, and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
• Strong vendor relationship management skills
• Strong leadership skills, plus a strong ability to mentor and develop others.
• Demonstrated capability to make decisions and to gain cooperation of others.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, manage expectations and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills (spoken and written)
• Demonstrated knowledge ITIL and ITSM tools
• Ability to work effectively with various internal business units, IT Teams and external service providers
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to relate to people and to adapt to different needs and styles and influence others in a collaborative way.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing projects
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in managing Quality Assurance activity in an IT service delivery environment.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing ITGC compliance audits.
• The following will be considered as an asset :
• PMP or PgMP certification
• Lean Six Sigma certification
• ITIL certification
• Experience with international and / or acquisition integration projects is an asset.
• Experience in a management lead role.
• Project coordination experience.

Note : Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
