We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Petroleum Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the petroleum industry.
PMH, PM1, PM2, PM3, OBT-1, Working at heights, WHIMS and First aid qualifications would be advantageous but training can be provided.
Must have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. As a Petroleum Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our projects and equipment, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety requirements as outlined in the CCL Health and Safety Policy Handbook
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects (Green Book).
- Report any Equipment and Vehicle maintenance and repair issues to your supervisor.
- Attend Site meetings to ensure communication about safety and scope of work are understood
- Report any Safety issues or concerns to your supervisor
- Ensure Safety Equipment and PPE fit properly and are in good condition
- Complete JSA's when asked
- Attend all Safety training courses scheduled by Support staff
- Complete time cards and submit to Office support staff every week
- Sign into site every day using POST Document "Daily Safe Work Permit"
- Ensure team and site is operating safely, Reporting any hazards
- Read and follow Safe work practices, written procedures, SDS sheets, and Manufacturers operating instructions.
- Become familiar with company Organizational team members i.e. : H&S Reps, First Aiders, Supervisors, Management, Operators
- Perform routine visual inspections / checks on Vehicles, Equipment, Tools, Environment, Work area
- Inform Supervisor of any absence or changes in work schedule in advance
- Be proactive in assisting Supervisors and Management ie; Housekeeping - Site and Vehicle, Inventory control, Paperwork, Organizing shop, Continued maintenance of tools etc.
- Washing Service Vehicles and Cleaning Equipment
- Removing garbage from Site / Shop and ensuring work areas are presentable at all times
- Always remember to be professional while representing Cannington Construction Limited
- Always exercise your "Right to Participate". Get involved in Health and Safety Meetings, Committees, Writing / updating Procedures. Reporting...
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Petroleum Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- PMH, PM1, PM2, PM3 OBT-1
- Valid driver's license required (With a clean drivers abstract)
