Alquemy’s Vancouver Client is currently seeking a Product Owner to join their team. This is a 12 month contract role with hybrid work model.

The Product Owner will play a critical role in defining the vision and roadmap for AI tools leveraging Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

This position involves gathering and prioritizing requirements, managing the product backlog, and making informed decisions to guide the project towards its strategic goals.

The Product Owner will act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring that the AI tools meet user needs and align with the companies objectives.

This role also requires exploring AI development within existing enterprise tools and staying updated on vendor market trends related to AI and ML.

Responsibilities :

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for AI tools.
  • Gather and prioritize requirements from various stakeholders, including IT departments, subject matter experts, and end users.
  • Manage the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-organized and reflects the project’s priorities and goals.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality AI tools that meet user needs.
  • Explore and integrate AI development options within existing enterprise tools, staying abreast of vendor market trends related to AI and ML.
  • Facilitate communication between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensure that the AI tools developed align with strategic objectives and contribute to the establishment of best practices for future AI projects.

Core Duties :

  • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap.
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure timely and effective delivery of features.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in AI and ML, and incorporate relevant innovations into the product strategy.
  • Provide training and support to end users to ensure successful adoption of the AI tools.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on product progress and future plans to senior management and other stakeholders.

Requirements :

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and related technologies.
  • Experience in product management and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with tools and platforms for AI development, such as Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cloud.
