Executive Director, Infrastructure Infrastructure Department ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an Executive Director, Infrastructure, to join the FMFN Team! This position will lead the Infrastructure Division in its strategic priorities and towards its long-term vision.

The role will provide leadership, advice, and support to Directors in FMFN’s internally facing Infrastructure in areas including Housing, Public Works, Major Projects, and will work to establish, achieve, and maintain the goals and objectives of the respective directorate and ensure efficient and effective operations.

This is a permanent full-time salaried position reporting directly to the CEO and is based on seventy-five (75) hours bi-weekly.

This position is located in Fort McKay, AB. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction to ensure the continued development and management of a professional and efficient Infrastructure and Sustainability division.

Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief and Council and leaders, and e nsure they are kept apprised of key performance outcomes, risks and recommendations for changes, program and service delivery growth, budget adjustments and the need for policy establishment and / or amendments.

Provide leadership and direction to directors, managers and project teams to ensure successful implementation of the initiatives Coach and mentor staff to build understanding of the community of Fort McKay First Nation and its residents, their roles, and departmental roles in contributing to the plans, and understanding the direction of First Nation leadership Establish effective decision-making processes that will enable FMFN to achieve its long-term and short-term goals and objectives.

Support Directors in sound financial management. O versee the financial status of the division’s long-term and short-term financial plans, monitoring the budget, and ensuring sound financial controls are in place.

Support the strategic organizational planning process for the betterment of FMFN. Communicate results of analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement to executives and Chief & Council as needed.

Lead in continuing to build a diverse and inclusive organization. Support and motivate FMFN staff, creating and promoting a positive work environment.

Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff throughout the organization.

Establish tactics and mechanisms to build and maintain the appropriate relationships with industry and governments Develop Capital Projects construction project plans in collaboration with director, managers and supervisors Advise CEO of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing / resolving such conflicts Other related duties as required.

KEY REQUIREMENTS Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field. Previous project management and construction experience is required Regional site experience is preferred Fifteen years of well-rounded and progressive experience in a related field with a senior leadership level background, including a minimum of 10 years of management and leadership experience.

E xperience to include organization management with focus on providing strategic support, staff mentorship and coaching, and managing several corporate service disciplines.

Outstanding communication skills, with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with leaders, employees, and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of applicable processes, service delivery models, best practices, legislation, and regulations relating to corporate services disciplines.

Ability to speak, read and write Cree and / or Dene is considered an asset. Ability to supply a clear criminal record check Extensive Experience working in a First Nations community including knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions and values Valid class 5 Driver’s License & Clean Driver’s Abstract Required Successful candidate will be required to live in (or relocate to) Fort McMurray, Alberta WHY APPLY?
