NAIT’sIndustrial Mechanic (Millwright) program prepares students to install, maintainand repair stationary industrial equipment and mechanical equipment.
Students will be instructed on fittingbearings, aligning gears, and shafts, attaching motors and connecting couplingsand belts to precise tolerances, and much more such as the service and repairof hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
The Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)program at our Main campus is currently recruiting for continuous instructorswho are energetic leaders, committed to student success, and have outstandingcommunication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
The successful candidates will :

- Bring passion, enthusiasm, andideas that will positively contribute to the advancement and growth of theprogram and the culture of our collaborative and dynamic team
KeyResponsibilities :
- Prepare and present learningoutcomes and activities in a classroom, laboratory and industry setting
- Participate in curriculumdevelopment, program reviews and course reviews
- Facilitate the learning processby utilizing instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effectivedelivery of course materials
- Manage instructional deliveryon-line and in a face to face environment while setting the tone and climatefor a safe and effective learning environment
- Create assessment tools toevaluate the learning process and maintain progress records
- Provide early and on-goingcoaching and tutoring for students to maximize student success and retention
- Respond to student issues
- Utilize appropriate educationaltechnology for presentations, communications and program promotions
- Maintenance and / or submissionof program / student records accurately and promptly
- Maintain professional andethical relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners
- Actively participate in thestrategies of NAIT 2021, NAIT’s Strategic Plan and NAIT’s Academic Plan asidentified by the institute
- Utilize regular studentfeedback to identify and implement instructional improvement
- Improve the quality ofinstruction through professional development activities
- Other duties as assigned

- Strong knowledge of computers
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma
- Completion of a related Alberta Journeyperson certificateor provincial equivalent including Inter-Provincial Red Seal an asset
- Minimum 5 years recent industry experience aftercompletion of Journeyperson certificate.
- Teaching experience an asset
Applicants witheducation credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentialsevaluated by World Education Services or the International QualificationsAssessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration : Willcommensurate with education and experience, plus a comprehensive benefitspackage.
Instructor salary grid $65,218.00 - $113,452.00annually. However, starting salary for new hires averages between $78,998.
00 - $85,889.00annually based on education and experience with room for negotiations. (Classification Instructor).
Thisposition is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Association (NASA) CollectiveAgreement
