The NRC Persons with Disabilities Internship provides individuals with practical experience in a variety of fields including research and development, engineering, and technology, administration, library science, computer science, trades, business, finance, human resources, and other professions.
Interns work in a supportive and collaborative environment, while having access to superior equipment, facilities and expertise.
Length of Term
Internships last for approximately 4 to 6 months with the possibility of extension.
Who can apply?
You are eligible for the NRC Persons with Disabilities Internship if :
- You are a person with a disability Disability : Any impairment, including a physical, mental, intellectual, cognitive, learning, communication or sensory impairment or a functional limitation whether permanent, temporary or episodic in nature, or evident or not, that, in interaction with a barrier, hinders a person’s full and equal participation in society
- You have obtained a High School diploma (or grade 12 equivalent)
While positions vary, extensive experience is not required.

Compensation
Individuals hired under the Persons with Disabilities Internship will be compensated at the appropriate salary for the specific position’s classification group and level.
In addition, the incumbent who meets the language requirements of the specific position will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year
Next Steps
