Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain program cost tracking metrics
- Provide project managers with timely financial reports, budgets and project forecasts.
- Perform project cost analysis and forecast actual costs and future commitments.
- Develop standard costing metrics for the maintenance organization
- Analyze production costs and provide recommendations for improvement
- Analyze maintenance operations and equipment availability and utilization
- Perform month-end cost accounting support for financial close
- Work with finance team in maintaining project accounting, budgeting and capital planning systems.
- Monitor and control expenses within allotted project budget.
- Recommend changes in operating procedures to increase efficiencies
- Lead cost management policies
- Contribute to yearly operation plans and budgets
- Review program budgets with project managers to ensure all purchasing is tracked in alignment with modelling
- Compile, analyze and prepare various financial / statistical information and reports
- Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management

Qualifications :
- Graduate from a University program with a Bachelors’ degree
- Professional CPA designation would be considered an asset.
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar role preferably in a multi-divisional organization
- Experience with project accounting and reporting for medium to large scale projects
- Demonstrated flexibility and able to adapt in a dynamic environment
- Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and effective time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to navigate in various software systems is required (Great Plains, WinAir would be considered an asset)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
- The ability to excel in a team environment and contribute to a diverse team
