Senior Data Scientist

This is a tremendous opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist to join a dynamic technology company developing innovative AI solutions to automate business processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Experiment with various machine learning algorithms and techniques to identify the most suitable ones for given tasks.
  • Conduct and validate model performance through comprehensive evaluation metrics.
  • Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and trends.
  • Implement machine learning models into production environments ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of deployed models, making updates and improvements as necessary.
  • Work closely with data engineer and Principal ML engineer.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning, AI, and data science.

This opportunity is a direct hire position in Vancouver. We may also consider candidates working out of our Kitchener office.

You can usually work remotely and only need to come into the office for important team meetings. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative AI automation projects at a growing technology firm.

REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • 3+ years' as a Data Scientist with a strong understanding of MLOps including ML algorithms and experience deploying ML models / solutions to production environments
  • Python development experience
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, etc.)
  • Knowledge of database technologies (such as SQL, MongoDB, Databricks) and data pipeline tools.
  • Familiar with ML CI / CD pipelines for development, testing, versioning, and task automation.
  • Familiar with cloud platforms (such as AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker or Kubernetes).
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning, AI, and data science.
  • Self-managed and motivated
  • Excellent communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS :

  • Experience building an enterprise-class business automation solution
  • Large Language Models (LLM)
  • Azure
