Responsibilities
- TheContractor’sresourcesmayberequired,butarenotlimitedto,toperformthefollowing :
- Providedatabasesupportanddatabaseadministrationtasksonprojectsandoperations,ConfigureandoptimizetheOracle12cinfrastructure,
- Performnecessaryoptimizationstothedatabaseenvironment,investigateandresolvedatabaseperformanceproblems,
- Providesupporttoserviceprovidersanddevelopersonprojectsandoperations,Performdatabasesecurityadministrationandsupport,
- Administerdatabasesanddatabaseserversinmultipleenvironments,
- Establishanddocumentdatabaseprocessesandproceduresthatareapproved,
- Design,implement,andconfigurebackupandrecoverystrategiesforallenvironments,MonitorOraclelicensingrequirementswiththesupportagreement,
- LiaisewithSharedServiceCanadaregardingtheserverenvironmentsandvariousRequestsforChange(RFCs),
- Provideguidance,adviceandrecommendationsonanydatabaserelatedinitiativestoservicesproviders,Provide recommendations to the Technical Authority and SeniorManagement on way forward for GACapplicationsusing Oracledatabases,
- ProvidestatusupdatestotheTechnicalAuthority,
- AnalyzethepossibilitiesofupgradingtoamorerecentversionofOracle(i.e.Oracle19c),PotentiallyupgradetoamorerecentversionofOracle,
- Knowledgetransfertoexistingstaff.
Qualifications
Mustdemonstratethattheproposedresourceis
holdinga current, valid Government of Canada (SECRET) orhighersecurityclearanceatthedateandtimeoftheRFPbidclosing.
Thefollowinginformationmustbe providedbythebidderforeachproposedresource :
Nameoftheindividualasitappearsonsecurityclearanceapplicationform.
- Levelofsecurityclearanceobtained.
- Validityperiodofsecurityclearanceobtained.
- SecurityScreeningCertificateandBriefingFormfilenumber.
- Nameoftheentityunderwhichthesecurityclearancewasobtained.
- Mustdemonstratethattheproposedresourcehas
ten(10)yearsofexperienceasaDatabaseAdministratorusingOracle v10g & above; includinginstalling, configuring, tuning,troubleshootingand upgrading Oracle relational databasemanagementsystems(RDBMS).
Mustdemonstratethattheproposedresourcehas
two (2) years of experienceas a Database Administrator usingOraclev12c&above;includinginstalling,configuring,tuning,troubleshootingand upgrading Oracle relational databasemanagementsystems(RDBMS).
Mustdemonstratethattheproposedresourcehas
two(2)yearsofexperienceinstalling,configuringandtroubleshootingOracleCloudControl12corabove.
Mustdemonstratethattheproposedresourcehastwo(2)yearsofexperienceapplyingperformancemonitoring
tuningtechniquesandproceduresusingOracleCloudControl12corabove.
Must demonstrate thatthe proposed resource hastwo (2)years of experience as a Database Administrator usingMicrosoftSQLServer;
includinginstalling,configuring,tuning,troubleshootingand upgrading MS relational databasemanagementsystems(RDBMS).
Must provide at leasttwo (2) recent references(withinthepastfive(5)years)andrelatedprojectsthatcanvalidate the knowledge and experience ofthe proposedresource.
