Job Description
O&B Bayview Village is the first location of Oliver & Bonacini’s casual dining restaurants. This sizeable urban space feels very downtown despite its North Toronto location.
A gleaming open kitchen extends into the airy dining room, featuring washed tin ceilings, leather banquettes and dramatic and distinctive light fixtures.
The menu offers something for everyone, including fresh, made-from-scratch soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta and fire-roasted pizzas!
The Day to Day :
- You’re our extra set of eyes, ears and hands. You see the gaps that need to be filled. run food like a pro, calmly grab the bottle of wine and set up for a server, and whisk away empty dishes with a smile.
- You calmly and professionally communicate with the whole team
- You have an eye for detail and organization and refill, re stock, and organize all areas of the restaurant throughout service.
- You’re interested and eager to learn how to make the guest experience exceptional and look forward to adding new skills along the way.
- You’re able to move around the restaurant with focused urgency
- Your able to skillfully carry heavy loads and treat delicate glassware with finesse
- Other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications
- SmartServe Certified
- Previous Host, Server or Busser experience is an asset
- Enrolled or completed a Hospitality, Food & Beverage and / or Special Events Program is an asset
- High attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills
- Ability to take direction and prioritize
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
