Responsibilities :
- Assembles, assesses and incorporates municipal design standards, utility layouts and related reference materials in preparing designs
- Submits designs to regulatory and municipal approval officials, when directed. Develops and maintains relationships with approval officials
- repares preliminary and detailed quality take offs and cost estimates for municipal servicing and road projects utilizing format / software program prescribed by the municipality
- Plans and organizes the design and drafting of engineering drawings for municipal servicing and road reconstruction projects, environmental assessments, etc.
in accordance with Project Managers’ specifications and established work-hour budgets
- Provides input regarding design and drafting budgets for proposal preparation
- Calculates pipe sizes, drainage areas, road and area grades, distribution networks, appurtenances placement and earth work quantities.
Makes revisions as instructed by the Project Manager and / or regulatory and municipal officials
Successful candidates will have :
- Graduate of a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma program or equivalent
- intermediate / advanced Technical experience in municipal residential subdivisions
- 5+ years experience in subdivision and site plan Land Development, transportation and municipal infrastructure
- Excellent Civil3D drafting skills
- Working with Engineering companies that design residential subdivisions is a must
- Knowledge and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Auto Desk Civil 3D / AEC Collection
