The Human Resources Manager will be assigned to work on-site in Orangeville, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Leadership : Collaborate with senior leadership to create and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
Lead the HR department and serve as a strategic advisor on people-related matters.
- Program Development : Build and implement HR programs that support employee engagement, retention, and development, including onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
- HRIS Implementation : Lead the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of a new Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to streamline HR processes, data management, and reporting.
- Employee Relations : Oversee and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning : Develop and manage recruitment strategies to attract top talent, particularly for manufacturing and production roles.
Partner with leadership on workforce planning and future talent needs.
Performance Management : Drive performance management initiatives, including goal- setting, regular reviews, and coaching for employees at all levels.
Ensure alignment between individual performance and business goals.
- Training & Development : Assess training needs and collaborate with department heads to develop and implement employee development programs that promote continuous learning and career growth.
- HR Compliance & Risk Management : Ensure all HR policies and procedures comply with current labor laws and regulations.
Stay updated on employment law and best practices to mitigate legal risk.
- Change Management : Lead change management efforts as the company grows, ensuring smooth transitions, clear communication, and alignment with the company’s culture and values.
- HR Metrics & Reporting : Develop and maintain HR metrics, providing regular reports to leadership on key performance indicators.
Use data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including management roles, with a focus on program development and HRIS implementation.
- Strong understanding of HR practices within manufacturing or production environments.
- Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
- Proven track record of successfully managing HR projects and leading teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- CHRP or CHRL designation is preferred but not required.
