KeyResponsibilities :
- Overseedaily accounting functions including the preparation andpresentation of monthly financial statements and reports to seniormanagement and ownership.
- Provide support tosenior management and department heads ensuring smooth daytodaycompany operations.
- Lead and manage allfinancial and accounting processes ensuring accuracy andefficiency.
- Assess the integrity of allfinancial transactions and ensure compliance with regulatorystandards.
- Collaborate with the accounting teamto streamline processes and improve financialcontrols.
- Evaluate implement and enforce bestpractices in financial management and internalcontrols.
- Work crossfunctionally with variousdepartments to support companywidegoals.
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatoryfilings and payments.
- Prepare annual workingpapers and liaise with external accountants for yearendprocesses.
- Communicate with governmentdepartments to ensure compliance with all regulatoryrequirements.
Qualifications :
- CPAdesignation with a minimum of 10 years of postqualificationexperience. *Canadian CPA and Canadian experience arerequired.
- Proven leadership skills with a trackrecord of guiding teams and streamlining financialoperations.
- Strong analytical skills and theability to make sound financial decisions based on dataanalysis.
- Excellent attention to detail andorganizational skills.
- Proficient in bothEnglish and French (MUST bebilingual).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Officeproducts particularly Excel.
- Experience in thefuel industry will be considered anasset.
