SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

1.0 FTE CONTINUING

School District No. 42 (SD42) meets the learning needs of approximately 16,000 students of all ages in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, and is defined by its determination to keep student learning and growth at the heart of all its decisions.

With an annual budget of over $200M and over 2,000 staff, the school district provides K-12 educational services in 22 elementary schools, six secondary schools, and two alternate schools.

It also provides a variety of certificate programs and relevant quality life-long learning opportunities through Ridge Meadows College and Continuing Education.

SD42 is looking for a qualified School Psychologist to join our Learning Services Team, for a 1.0 FTE Continuing position.

The School Psychologist will have demonstrated ability in collaborating with school-based and / or district personnel to gather classroom-based data, and design or implement instructional and / or behavioural support strategies.

The School Psychologist will be qualified to administer and interpret up to and including Level C Educational, Psychological and Behavioural tests.

The School Psychologist will demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with other professionals including school-based teams and be able to work as part of a strong collaborative team.

The applicant will possess :

A Master’s Degree in school / educational psychology or a related field with a focus on school psychology.

Qualifications that meet the standard for membership in the British Columbia Association of School Psychologists.
