The Role

Mainframe Architects are the key link between Kyndryl and our clients. You’re in a technical leadership role, uniting and guiding stakeholders from clients, governance, proposal and project executives to delivery and sometimes even the vendors who work with the client.

You’ll be there from the start of a project understanding what’s needed and figuring out the best technical solution. And you’ll be there at the finish, delivering the right product on time and within budget.

As a Mainframe Architect, you’ll draw upon the full breadth of your talent and experience. This is a technical leadership role, so we want you to bring your vision, knowledge, and leadership to each project.

To the client, you’re the subject matter expert consulting early, gathering inputs, understanding what they need from our solution.

You define what Kyndryl can do to meet this solution. You design the best solution for the job. And finally, you’re the tech leader for implementation.

Responsible for the overall success of the technical solution from proposal, implementation, and system integration in a Mainframe for a financial account.

Deliver new and high-quality solutions to clients in response to varying business requirements.

Deliver new and high-quality solutions to clients in response to varying business requirements.

Tasks will include the implementation and design of optimization and transformation mainframe projects, with a particular focus on :

Ability to define target Mainframe Architecture, supporting and guiding customers to develop a plan to Optimize or Move off from the Platform.

Deep ability in z / OS, DB2, IMS, CICS projects.

Application Modernization Project

Leading Mainframe projects technical teams during Delivery Phase.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

5 years of experience of designing Mainframe Architecture

5+ years of experience in the banking environment knowledge, ACF2 Storage, applications and Data bases

Understanding of Systems and Solutions Architecture

experience in Mainframe Data offloading projects

Ability to architect, design and implement IT infrastructure and platforms within a large operating organization

Hands-on experience & learning with Data Center technologies, Cloud Software, and interoperability

must be located in Canada and have excellent written and verbal French communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience with one or more of the cloud technologies
