Role Summary
The Project manager’s role is to assure that Flowserve fulfills its contractual commitments during the execution of the project, from the order entry process up to the contractual delivery of the project, going through Engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, assembly and testing stages.
Responsibilities :
The project manager role holds responsibilities throughout the lifecycle of the project which include :
Act as single point of contact for customers on assigned orders.
Coordinate the correct interdisciplinary interaction for the project goals through initiation and leading contract kick off meetings and subsequent contract review meetings.
Communicate with all levels of the organization internally and externally.
Review of contract, scope, technical documentation, and project phases against quotation on pricing and payment terms, contractual terms and conditions, technical specification, documentation requirements and export compliance.
Knowledge of the design specifications to provide customer with technical support during the project execution.
Order handling Order interpretation, entry to computer system, commercial and technical documentation, inter departmental / supplier liaison, expediting, dealing with visiting inspectors, shipping.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining project timescales and documentation through project progress against production schedule as agreed by the customer.
Proactively monitor project schedule, costs, risks and deliverables; develop contingency plans as necessary
Communicate with customers in a timely, professional, and clear manner.
Responsible of pre-inspection meeting (where applicable) between the customer and Flowserve / Sub-Contractor quality department.
Responsible for validation of availability for standard products for proposed application solutions. Handle any changes to specification in situations arising for incorrect identification.
Conduct work in compliance with industry codes and standards and Flowserve processes.
Participate in product development activities including supporting engineering for further development of the product based upon customer and new market opportunities.
Act as a subject matter expert for supporting external sales team with technical product and services introduction which may involve customer visits.
Support Continuous Improvement activities on both business processes and DGS System design.
Maintenance of project records and folders.
Requirements :
Minimum 5 years of relevant Project Management experience.
Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or technical degree.
English Level Medium (Written / Oral)
Experience or University knowledge in Project Management.
Experience with MS Office & project tools
Preferred Experience / Skills
Rotating equipment experience is a plus.
PMP and other project management certifications is a plus.
Computer literate, with emphasis on SAP
Flexible individual with a positive and proactive responsive approach.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence.
