A manufacturing company specializing in sheet metal fabrication, is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal TIG Welder to join our team.
As a Sheet Metal TIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating sheet metal components according to blueprints and specifications.
Attention to detail, precision, and a strong understanding of TIG welding techniques are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to weld and fabricate sheet metal components
- Perform welds on various types of metal, such as stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel
- Ensure welds are of high quality, free from defects, and meet specified requirements
- Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery of products
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Sheet Metal TIG Welder or similar role
- Proficient in TIG welding techniques and experience working with sheet metal
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and specifications
- Knowledge of different metal types and their welding properties
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality welds
- Experience with welding equipment and tools
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Completion of a welding certification program or equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Additional certifications or training in TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication is a plus
