Do you have experience in the electric or electronics industry? Are you looking for a role in Saint-Laurent?Our client, a manufacturing company specialized in electronics is looking for a Supply Manager (Interim) for a 3-month contract (could be longer since it's a sick leave).
Then, the employee can move to a permanent position as a Strategic Buyer. The salary offered is $50 to $55 an hour upon experience.
What they are looking for : - Procurement, purchasing, or supply chain background.- Skilled in supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and sourcing.
- Ability to support new product and supplier development.- Natural leader, proactive, takes ownership.- Strong in project and contract management.
- Focus on soft skills (communication, collaboration).Language Requirements : English- Level of Proficiency Required : Advanced - Reasons for Language Requirement : Communications with international suppliers and internal communications - Frequency of Use : Daily (for various tasks)Your role : - Team Leadership & Coaching : Direct and support a team of buyers, setting measurable objectives and ensuring alignment with business goals while respecting agreements in place.
- Material Procurement Oversight : Manage the procurement cycle, ensuring targets for cost, quality, and delivery are achieved, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Supply Chain Performance Management : Conduct supplier evaluations, monthly reviews, and risk assessments to drive performance improvements and mitigate risks.
- Cost Reduction & Efficiency : Investigate material and supply developments to recommend cost-saving measures and improve quality and delivery.
- Supplier Relationship Management : Coordinate with key suppliers for lead-time, price adjustments, delivery performance, and second-source identification.
- Support for Engineering & Production : Assist design engineers with component sourcing, and support product development from bid to production phase.
- Compliance & Audits : Ensure adherence to trade compliance, AS9100 standards, and support audit processes.- Strategic Initiatives : Lead initiatives such as long-term contract negotiations, preferred supplier selection, and crisis management programs.
