Your New Role :
As an Estimator for utility projects, you will prepare detailed electrical and civil work estimates, assign tasks to the estimating team, and develop conceptual budgets.
You will manage resources, analyze cost-effective alternatives, and identify risks. Your role includes coordinating technical proposals, reviewing contractor bids, and building relationships with stakeholders.
You will advise on tendering procedures, analyze tenders, and conduct negotiations. Additionally, you will establish tendering processes, monitor costs, and coordinate pricing.
You will participate in site reviews, maintain a supplier directory, and prepare feasibility studies. Leading and mentoring junior estimators, you will handle purchasing, update the Bid 2 Win / Accubid database, and perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need to Succeed :
Previous utilities experience is needed - with a combination of Project Management and Estimation experience. Experience with medium and high voltage utility work, roadway lighting, traffic signals and substations is considered an asset.
Education in Electrical Engineering or Construction Engineering required. Accubid experience required.
