Johnson Electric Canada (Formerly Stackpole) is excited to announce we are searching for a Group Finance Controller in the Ontario area.
As a key leader within the Finance department, the Group Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across the organization.
This role ensures the integrity of accounting information by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
The Group Finance Controller will lead the finance team in driving the company’s financial strategy and planning, overseeing regulatory compliance, and ensuring the accuracy of the company’s financial results.
This position is onsite and can be based in any of our locations in Ancaster, Mississauga and Stratford.
Your Responsibilities would be :
Oversee the delivery of accurate and timely financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Develop and refine financial strategies in alignment with the company’s long-term goals.
Lead strategic projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and other initiatives to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
Spearhead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational plans.
Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making processes.
Oversee the development and analysis of financial models to explore future scenarios and guide strategic planning.
Ensure that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization’s short and long-term objectives, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
Maintain control of the company’s financial health by managing risks, overseeing internal audits, and ensuring the integrity of financial data.
Direct the consolidation of financial results, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable standards.
Lead, motivate, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
Ensure effective recruitment, training, and retention strategies are in place to build a skilled and engaged finance team.
Promote collaboration across finance teams and with business unit leaders to ensure cohesive financial planning and reporting.
Drive the adoption and utilization of business intelligence tools and data analytics practices to enhance financial decision-making and operational insights.
Oversee the enhancement of financial systems and ERP integrations to improve reporting capabilities and operational efficiency.
Our Requirements are :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; master’s degree or professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, ACCA) preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a complex financial environment.
Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
Strong leadership skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Advanced proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
