Our client is a global animal health business with an established and busy manufacturing facility in Hamilton manufacturing sterile products for the local and global markets.
Following a recent resignation, we are looking for an Industrial Operations Manager to join the team. Reporting to the NZ General Manager this is a significant leadership role with overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the New Zealand operations team and facility.
As the incumbent in this role you will need to use your proven leadership, strategic development and communications skills to signal you intentions and the follow through on initiatives to drive the operations business forward.
Ideally you will have come from a pharmaceutical operations environment although dairy / FMCG manufacture experience may also be suitable.
You may already be at Operations Management level, or currently in a Production, QA, Supply Chain or Engineering Management role and looking to move into that strategic level position.
You will need to have experience in both people management and cGMP manufacturing, be able to mentor your direct reports and manage the expectations of the business as a whole.
Above all though our client is looking for candidates with the drive and enthusiasm to bring in a new way of thinking.
To be considered you MUST have :
- Relevant tertiary qualification Engineering, Technology or Science
- A minimum of 10 years Pharmaceutical / cGMP management experience
- Knowledge of regulated manufacturing requirements
- Able to balance the needs of the site and business to achieve the best possible outcome
- The proven ability to drive positive change
- New plant building or capital improvements project experience desirable
- Proven ability to plan effectively
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
